    Figure A

The Viper Driver, made by Michigan Industrial Tools, is a screwdriver with a twist. It can be used as a regular screwdriver, but it can also turn to get to hard-to-reach screws (figure A).

The Viper Driver has a 7" flexible extension stored in the handle that can be pulled out of the shaft as needed. Gears in the handle turn the screw tip when the flexible shaft is locked in place. This tool delivers a surprising amount of torque when it's in flex-shaft mode. It also has storage slots to accommodate six bits, which come with the driver.
