    On the CenterPoint tape measure, manufactured by Baklund-Hellar Inc., the bottom numbers are equal to exactly twice the top numbers (figure A). So if you're trying to find the exact center of length X, just find X on the bottom of the tape and look straight above it to find its center measurement.
