    Figure A

Weekend Handyman host Paul Ryan demonstrates a great caulk gun this week.

If you have lots of caulking to do or a handyman job where loads of adhesive will be needed, the perfect tool to use is a 12-volt caulking and adhesive gun. Compared to the old-fashioned equipment (figure A), the 12-volt gun produces more than 650 pounds of force per cartridge, which means you'll save more time than you can imagine.

With a little practice, you'll be able to produce a bead of caulk from 3/16" up to 1" wide.
