DIY Holiday Open House hosts raise their glasses in a toast to a healthy and happy holiday season! AIR TIMES December 24, 2007 4:00 PM Eastern

It's the day of the big holiday party and the planning and decorations haven't even been started! Not to worry, DIY's all-star hosts have brought their most creative and original ideas—and in no time, these halls will be jam packed with some of the coolest DIY decorations you've ever seen!

Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza, hosts of Creative Juice, will transform the hum-drum paintings in the house into mirrored holiday-themed decorations using looking-glass spray. Michele Beschen from B. Original shows how to use unusual materials like corrugated plastic and duct tape to create glow in the dark table displays! Knitty Gritty's Vickie Howell creates knitted stockings—with no knitting required and Jennifer Perkins from Craft Lab replaces the labels on drink bottles with custom home made ones that are party-perfect.

Ahmed Hassan from The Dirt on Gardening will give tips for great ways to use live plants to decorate during the winter months. And Amy Devers and Karl Champley of DIY to the Rescue demonstrate how easy it is to build a portable, fold-up party bar that can be hidden away in just a sliver of storage space. The show culminates with a fabulous cocktail party featuring all of the hosts who contributed to the show...and a tasty easy-to-make holiday drink!
