With the plants and gravel in place, the sitting area is all but complete. A pagoda lantern and soft illumination make the perfect finishing accents. Steps: - Replace the furnishings in their predetermined locations, then add an Asian-inspired architectural element, such as a stone Japanese lantern (figure A).
- Attach low-voltage lights to the branches of the tree using zip ties (figure B).
Note: Do not over-tighten, as this may damage the branches. - Run the electrical cable to the lights, and snap the lights onto the cable (figure C).
- Follow manufacturer's instructions for attaching the cable to the transformer.
- Paint the cable and lights with a latex paint (figure D) the same color as the tree bark to help disguise them.
