    With the addition of pea gravel, stones and container plants, the Asian sitting area nears completion.


    Steps:

    1. Using a flexible hose, create a rolling division between two halfs of the garden space (figure A).


    2. Lay the pea gravel in the back half of the garden (figure B), using the hose as the boundary. Be sure to lay gravel around the foundation plants as well.


    3. Lay the larger, dark stones in the front half of the space (figure C).

      Tip: Place these stones by hand to "seat" them firmly in the ground.


    4. Place the containers back in their pre-chosen locations, and plant them (figure D).
