With the area cleared of excess foliage, it's time for the next phase: furniture arrangement and plant placement. Steps: - First, arrange your furniture in the space until the desired layout is achieved (figure A).
- Next, lay out plants and containers in the designated area(s) to determine their permanent placement, making adjustments as needed. Then remove them from the space.
- Dig out the area for the in-ground/foundation plants (figure B), taking care not to damage any surface tree roots.
- Place each plant in its pre-designated spot (figure C).
