- Plant the vines underneath the trellises, leaving their trellis sticks in place.
- Untie the vines from the trellis sticks, and begin to unfurl them. Remove the trellis sticks.
- Twine the vines onto the trellis, using care that they are supported to avoid breakage.
- Plant the Cypresses.
- Lay the pea gravel and rake it into an even, level surface. Be sure that it covers the base of the cypresses and vines
