To begin installing the charming, Italian-style fountain that will provide the perfect finishing touch to this beautifully landscaped property, host Mayita Dinos and crew mark the placement for the installation, then build a frame that will support the element.

    Materials:

    Pea Gravel
    GFCI outlet
    Assorted pots
    Fountain
    Cement or stone garden bench
    PVC pipe and elbows
    Hose
    Shovel
    Rake
    Tape Measure
    Small saw

    1. Remove any grass or weeds from the space.

    2. Grade the ground so that it's perfectly level.

    3. Decide on the placement of the fountain. Measure if necessary, and mark the exact center of the spot where the fountain will sit with a bright spray paint.

    4. Build a frame that will hold the pea gravel in place in the ground using 1"x 4" pieces of wood and framing nails.

    5. Center the frame around the mark you made to center the fountain. Use spray paint on the ground around the frame to mark the edges.

    6. Measure the space between where the fountain will sit and the plug for the pump cord. Cut the PVC pipe to measure and put the elbows on the ends.

    7. Lay the PVC pipe on the ground between the fountain and the plug. Mark off the length of the pipe on the ground with spray paint.

    8. Dig the holes for the frame and the pipe to a depth of 4 inches, using the spray paint guidelines.

    9. Mark the spot on the wood where the PVC pipe will rest using the spray paint .

    10. Cut out a half circle in the wood where the PVC pipe will rest.

    11. With the pipe in place, fill the trench for the pipe with dirt.
