In this episode of
Weekend Entertaining, host Jeanne Benedict helsp party hosts David and Amanda throw an upscale Polynesian Luau. The party space is a large deck and a portion of the deck will be tented and will house the buffet table, which will be decorated with handmade tiki totem faces made from old coffee cans and burlap.
To give the party space an island feel Jeanne and Amanda will be making extra-large faux palm trees from discarded carpet rolls, coconut basket liners and artificial leaves. These will be featured throughout the party space. As for the menu, classically trained chef and party co-host David will be in the kitchen with Jeanne making Mango Glazed Pork, Mahi Mahi Ceviche and Kona Coffee Ice Cream.
