Show host Jeanne Benedict helps the party hosts (Sandy and Jeff) prepare a
Harvest Party at their cabin. First Jeanne and Sandy make bean encrusted pumpkins and candles using lentils, split peas and white beans. Then Jeanne and one of Sandy's friends from out of town make pumpkin topiaries. Next Jeanne and Jeff make a pumpkin brandy hazelnut soup. Another of Sandy and Jeff's friends step in to help with the party preparation and assist Jeanne in making sweet potato and leek gallettes. Before the party starts Jeanne and Sandy make drink garnish topiaries with chocolate dipped marshmallows and cinnamon sticks and garnished with crushed candies. Then another friend helps Jeanne create an autumn leaf hem overlay for the drink table. The buffet table is also decorated with left over lentils, split peas and white beans.
This party is rated 3 on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most difficult, and is geared toward the skills of a frequent entertainer.
