Host Jeanne Benedict helps create a fun and tasteful Garden Party.
|
Show host Jeanne Benedict and party host Jill prepare for a
Garden Party complete with a potter's buffet and a picket fence buffet. First Jeanne and Jill, along with Jill's daughters, decorate terra cotta pots with a leaf stamping technique and labels from seed packets. Guests will be taking home seeds and bulbs in the decorated pots. Next Jeanne and Jill construct a potter's buffet with soil, seeds, bulbs and flowers which guests will be "digging" into during the party. Then Jeanne and Jill head into the kitchen to make a crab meat stuffed eggplant and a strawberry shortcake dessert that is served in a terra cotta pot. Before the party starts, Jeanne and Jill set up the buffet complete with a picket fence, a flag stone lane and a birdbath!
This party is rated 2 on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most difficult, and is geared toward the skills of a frequent entertainer.
