Join host Nancy Golden as she transforms a spacious yet bare master bedroom into a cozy, soothing retreat. When the makeover is complete, the space will have a relaxing, romantic feel -- and will be the perfect place for the both lounging
and sleeping! The style and color scheme will also complement the furniture and dark finishes throughout the home. To begin the work, Golden paints the walls and ceilings in shades of chocolate and blue. Next, she creates interest on the focal wall with a paint technique that resembles the look of Venetian plaster, showing how easy it is to add plaster medallions around ceiling fixtures. After fashioning heavy silk drapes using a "no-sew" technique, Golden installs a fabulous chandelier and changes out the existing ceiling fan. Finally, she completes the transformation with the addition of furnishings, a rug and a variety of elegant, updated accessories.
