Marge and Michael Tutko have a large family of pets and bought their home eight years ag for its potential as a pet-friendly place. They've already made some improvements to a walkway on the side yard and now they are ready to build a pergola over their koi pond. The idea is to give their fishy friends a shady spot to swim, and create a cool place for the couple to relax. The Tutkos estimate that the project will take four days, and they'll save $2,000 by doing the work themselves. They plan to paint their cinderblock wall then put up the pergola. Finally, they'll add some plants to the pond.
