Roommates Kyle Tracy and David Agranov rent a guesthouse together, and the two have been using the house to hone their do-it-yourself skills. Fortunately, their landlord has no problem letting them work their home improvement magic. They've recently renovated the kitchen and are now ready to tackle the living room, which they feel has an institutional feel that they'd like to make more inviting. The plan is to take up the carpet and replace it with hardwood floors, remove the acoustic surface on the ceiling and add crown molding and bookshelves.
