Project by Larone Hudson of New Orleans, La. Larone dabbled in various artistic endeavors but found his niche when he started working with clay. In this project, he makes a handbuilt "Delta" dog--with great expression and a lot of attitude. Materials: clay rolling pin underglazes acrylic or enamel paints paintbrushes clay tools knife Steps: 1. Roll clay to about 1/2-inch thick. 2. Shape the body and limbs of the animal by hand. 3. Use remnants to shape and finish the sculpture. 4. Paint on underglazes (clay with pigment) before bisque firing. 5.
