* Decide on a color scheme and theme (i.e. vintage, blues and yellows, etc.). Collect paper, fibers, embellishments, stamps, stickers, etc. that fit with your theme.
Steps:1. Take digital images of yourself--body parts, eyes, things that are important to you (i.e. wedding ring, necklace). Collect other photos of important people, things, you (as a child), etc.
2. Collect poems or letters that you have written, ticket stubs, wedding invitations, etc. (copy important papers that you want to use).
3. Design a title page.
4. Place pictures throughout the book to get a temporary order.
5. Begin page layouts, first designing the background. For the background, consider techniques like paper tearing (figure A), chalking, stamping (figure B), heat embossing, watercolors (figure C), and aging techniques like using walnut ink (figure D), crumpling, inking, tea staining, and sanding.
6. Add the photos, your journaling and embellishments.
