    Steps:

    1. Trace lampshade panel shape onto tracing paper or vellum and cut out to make a template. Use template to trace six panels on back of decorative papers and cut out (figure A).

    2. Apply 1-inch roll of red liner tape to edges of each panel, starting at the top of lampshade and working your way down to bottom (figure B).

    3. Peel back red protective liner to expose sticky tape. Adhere decorative paper panels to tape on all six panels (figure C).

    4. Cover an entire panel and framing of lampshade in strips of 1-inch tape, overlapping tape when necessary. To do this, peel back red protective liner of tape you intend to overlap before next strip is applied.

    5. Peel back red protective liner, exposing sticky tape on entire panel. Then adhere flat-back vintage cabochons by applying directly to the tape in desired pattern. Crete an embroidered look by "drawing" dimensional stitchery with threads directly onto the tape.

    6. Expose sticky tape on framing of panel and zigzag ribbon from top to bottom by pleating and pressing pleated ribbon onto tape (figure D). Repeat ribbon zigzag on other side of panel.

    7. Cover next panel with tape strips, expose, and draw with dimensional threads by using the paper pattern underneath as a design guide. Vary thread colors and design to your liking.

    8. Pull silk-like flowers off their stems and adhere a tape dot to center. Peel back tape's red lining and adhere a rhinestone to center (figure E). Dip remaining exposed tape in iridescent glitter to fully cover. Apply decorative flowers randomly to the lampshade. Then with the dimensional threads, draw vines around the flowers (figure F).

    9. When the design work on the panels is complete, apply a strip of tape around the top (figure G) and bottom perimeter (figure H) of the lampshade. Apply decorative trim by applying directly to the tape, folding ends neatly under to hem/hide cut ends.

    10. Place shade in a shallow pan and pour clear micro beads over remaining exposed tape (figure I). Swirl beads with fingertips over all exposed tape areas until fully covered. Tap lampshade on its side to dislodge excess beads.
