The DiResta brothers are men of many talents. Not only are they master builders, they're also big music fans. So they decided to combine their two loves and build a guitar. First they get some inspiration from the folks over at Sam Ash Music and at Washington Square Park. The music lovers share thoughts on the kind of wood to use, its weight and also their favorite musicians. Jimmy uses maple and mahogany wood for the frame and a Les Paul-style for the neck, and then highlights the classic piece with hand-carved flames.
