Literally their brightest idea to date, John and Jimmy DiResta craft a set of retro-style table lamps. After carving a strong oak base on the lathe, the guys install the working bits including harp, finials, wiring, socket and cord. Jimmy uses plaster of Paris to create hexagonal discs, which he then slides down a threaded rod, giving the lamp's neck a funky aesthetic. Finally, they wrap white paper and burlap around a metal frame to create earth-toned lampshades. The brothers donate the lamps to their favorite sandwich shop, where the colors and design fit perfectly with the venue's decor.
