John and Jimmy DiResta build special bunk beds for two adorable little girls who need to share a bedroom. The brothers construct two strong twin bed frames out of oak and add identical finials so the beds can be easily stacked on top of one another. They achieve a classic finish with a simple coat of polyurethane, and use colorful latex paints for decorative details such as the girls' names and rainbows for the headboard. The beds can be easily disassembled, so when the girls get their own rooms they can keep their beds! The project leads the brothers to reminisce about their own bunk beds.
