Have you every wanted to learn how to cut and paste your photographs so that you can "transport" your children to the Taj Mahal or your dog to Mars? Professional photographer Erin Manning knows how and, in this lesson, she proves that anyone can do it if they just know the basics of compositing. First Erin provides tips on how to select the best photographs for compositing, covering light direction, size, and background. She then demonstrates the principles behind masking and layering--both integral parts of the compositing process. Finally, she explains how to properly assemble a composite image, accounting for scale and proportion, and offers tips for cleaning up the image to help make the end result look as realistic as possible.
