Building an Adirondack Chair
You can find patterns for Adirondack chairs in books and magazines. They're not complicated to make at all. You can use pine if you're going to paint the chair, or use redwood or cedar. If the chair will be out in the weather, it's a good idea to use the more expensive wood. It will last longer. You'll need some wood glue, some stainless-steel or galvanized screws, exterior-grade glue and a little sandpaper, as well as a saber saw or jigsaw.
