Alan and Rebecca Williams have been working on their house for the past few years with no house plan, just a vision of what it could be. But now with their youngest about to leave for college, the couple finds themselves about to be alone in a big home. So the Material Girls want to create a room that will give them a "hug" whenever they walk in the door. Using a warm palette of reds, greens and golds, they do just that. We learn how to update an old bookcase with fabric panels; give an old chair a new look with a faux slipcover; and create reversible curtains that can be changed with the seasons.
