Q: What do you get when you cross concrete-block walls, linoleum floors and standard-issue utilitarian furniture with a pair of girly college coeds?
A: An opportunity to make a very big difference! Enter the Material Girls, who drew upon Hilary Dulin's and Lindsay Locke's love of pink to give their room some much-needed color and style -- and a bit of organization. In this episode, we learn how to dress up a simple store-bought comforter (cheap!) with colorful fabric appliqués; cover boxes with fabric for desktop storage; and make a simple valance and curtain panels that can be attached to pipes or concrete block with hook-and-loop tape (easy!) to add style at windows.
