As Joel & Liz walked from their apartment to the coffee shop, the "For Sale" sign was raised in the yard of their favorite house. It was the big four square Greek Revival house on the corner, built from a Sears catalog kit in 1908. They were leaving on vacation in a few hours and made an offer on the house, sight-unseen. When they got the house, it was everything they had expected with loads of wonderful details and, just as they imagined, it had an outdated kitchen. Now after polishing up the rest of the place, they've set their sights on the kitchen. Joel is a wine rep and Liz is a restaurant developer. She brings together chefs and investors to join forces for restaurant ventures. Both homeowners want their kitchen to be a gathering space for clients and friends but still pet- and child-friendly for their two Lab puppies and the throngs of neighborhood kids who love to visit.
This third of four episodes covers cabinet installation, modifying a sink base and creating a built-in window seat.
