Homeowner Erica and her mom, Mary, run a specialized travel agency out of one half of the large condo they purchased on the ground floor of a historic pre-WWI stone apartment building. The space was previously inhabited by a restaurant, Loretta's Tea Room. The other side of the condo is now going to be converted into a hip, contemporary loft-style residence for Erica. A new kitchen will be created entirely from scratch.
In this first of four episodes, the existing terrazzo floors were professionally polished. Walls are added using metal studs and new energy-efficient window inserts are installed.
