When you enter the kitchen of this 1918 bungalow you feel like youve been sent back to the 1970s. This frightful kitchen was "remodeled" 30 years ago complete with a strange glass block window above the stove, a refrigerator thats nearly in the dining room and a loud patterned vinyl flooring thats as worn as it is ugly. Mix this with dark cabinets, black iron hardware and florescent lighting that casts a green pall over the entire space and you have a recipe for disaster!
Looking past the kitchen, Cathy and Dan bought the house 10 years ago with all the best intentions and very little extra money for any updates. Now nearly a decade and two children later, theyre ready to give some style to the most important room in their home. The kitchen is attached to a family room thats in pretty bad shape as well.
Our goal is to tie the two areas together and give a timeless traditional style to the space so it fits in this 1918 home.
