A mysterious ceiling crack keeps reappearing in Teresa and Scott Taylor's house. It never grows; it just returns after they patch it. Home inspector Tim Hockenberry finds the cause and shows them how to fix it so it never returns. Repairs include properly bracing straps to ridge beams to equalize the stress load, adding blocks to joist bays and properly cleaning, repatching and finishing ceiling cracks. Fellow home inspectors Rick Yerger and Wally Conway join Tim Hockenberry to offer tips on evaluating and tackling wall cracks in your home.
