There are lots of ways to use recycled or recaptured resources in the garden. On this episode we will demonstrate several ways to capture water. We will demonstrate how to build a rain barrel under your gutter to catch water, and we will build a stand to support it. You will also learn how to use a submersible pump to take advantage of water in a nearby stream or lake. Then we will use concrete rubble and compost from a local landfill to build a raised garden bed. In the Homegrown Hint, we will demonstrate how to use the water from your air conditioner to water small vegetables.
