Art is a gourmet cook and has a great long bar in his kitchen, connecting the kitchen to the dining room. He needs functional seating for the bar area so the experience of his kitchen is more intimate for his guests. Amy designs two double wide seat bar stools -- each wide enough to comfortably seat two people. The base of the stools is a patinated gun blue steel. They are angular and sleek and rectilinear. Host Amy Devers shows how to cut and weld the steel, and the gun blue is a special patination process that warms up the look of the steel. The crisp minimal lines dovetail beautifully with the simple Asian theme in Art's home.
