Desiree Motamedi bought a tiny condominium in a stylish high-rise two years ago. She now wants to make her space feel as expansive as the soft city panorama that surrounds her, but her bedroom is awkward and oversized -- with a dining room table included.
To help Motamedi separate the single area into a dual-function, tranquil-color bedroom and funky dining area, the Fresh Coat team gets busy. They use soft dustings of muted lavender in two shades to define and separate the space, and create further division with a lighthearted stencil on the dining room walls and on a fabric divider.
Other projects include transforming the lower portion of Motamedi's desk into a much-needed vanity, lightening up the dark bedside tables and painting the closet doors a shade of rich, fresh cream.
