Juan Saenz and Eddie Garcia collect illustrative art and want a gallery look in their living room to show it off. They like their white walls, which are a good start to a gallery feel, but hate the existing green trim, a previous homeowner's choice; and are over their red accents (lampshades, curtains).
The Fresh Coat team uses their playful, graphic art collection as the inspiration to create an urban, gallery feel to the space. The inspiration for the design is the '30s, a period in which posters and graphic art made their debut. The white walls, which are central to a gallery look, stay--but color, geometry and animation are added with paint.
