Molly and Pete Woodring have an open floor plan--their entryway connects to a living/dining room and a sitting room with a fireplace. It's providing a difficult design challenge to make all three areas feel cohesive and yet distinct. They're happy with their red dining/living room, which they've given a rustic Mission look, but they also like their white entryway. But the connecting sitting room is the quandary. Right now it has plain white walls and a country feel.
They want to create a warmer look that will flow with the red room and the white entry. The DIY Fresh Coat team, influenced by colors of the desert and Native American patterns, take this transitional space with no style and turn it into a comfortable, cohesive space that will integrate with Molly and Pete's style--as well as blend in with the colors and art in the adjoining rooms.
