Jeff and Diana Merkel set out to complete the impossible: an entire bathroom renovation in just two days! Jeff's mom is coming to stay with them for the first time and the only shower in their home is enclosed by only a half-wall and sits in the middle of the kitchen, exposed for all to see. In an attempt to provide their guests with more privacy, the Merkels, with do-it-yourselfer Gionni Thompson, hope to build a new wall and glass block window, install a pocket door, put in a new vanity and complete a shower-to-tub conversion in the existing bathroom. Gionni is a high school chemistry teacher during the week, but he's spent the last eleven years fixing up old houses on the weekends. But this could be too much even for him! Will they get it "Finished in 48" or will they end up with more of a mess than what they started with
