Classic Car Restoration host Mark Lambert presents fuel safety issues, fuel products for classic cars and then assesses the fuel system on our 1938 Packard. He performs a pressure and volume test to evaluate the fuel pump. Mark removes the carburetor and cleans and rebuilds it, including a new accelerator pump seal, which is torn and probably why the car stumbled on acceleration. Lastly, he installs the rebuilt carburetor and adjusts the idle richness until the engine runs smoothly.
