On the first episode of the nine-part Harley-Davidson series, you'll be introduced to host Kevin Tetz and our 1965 project bike -- a 1965 Harley-Davidson "Electra Glide". The motorcycle is the last of the "panhead series" (1948 -1965) and the first American bike with an electric start, hence the name
Electra Glide. Our host gives the bike a mechanical evaluation (fluids and engine) and then checks the driveline and safety issues. He then takes the bike to a Harley-Davidson shop where you'll meet William "Dunk" Dunkelberger, our Harley expert for the series. They perform a dynomometer test to check the horsepower, torque and air-fuel mixture. Back in the garage, they plan the restoration and disassemble the bike.
