Demolition yields an elaborate crown molding hidden above the 1940s addition dropped ceiling. Based on that discovery, Bob and Chris decide to change the project's design direction to incorporate more classic Victorian elements. The floor joists are sistered up where necessary for strength and leveled using modern laser technology, and a Plytanium underlay is installed to make sure the new hardwood floor is rigid and free of squeaks. Metal framing gets started, and a new chimney flue liner is pulled up the rediscovered chimney.
