Steps:1. Scrunch dye white scarf with diluted burnt umber fabric paint as a base and let it dry (figures A and B). 2. Brush metallic gold paint onto surface of the Lucite block (figure C). 3. Using the wipe-out tool, draw abstract designs, marks, or shapes on the block, removing paint as you draw. Wipe tool to remove excess paint as needed. 4. Place paint side down and "print" onto the fabric with the block (figure D) just as you would stamp a surface. 5. Print a random pattern on the scarf, intentionally overlapping the printed shapes (figure E). 6. Fill in the resist areas with fabric paint using a palette of earthtones (figure F) and outline designs with the dimensional fabric paint (figure G). 7. Let paint dry thoroughly overnight. 8. Heat set by either ironing for 10 minutes on reverse side or throw into a hot commercial dryer for 35 to 45 minutes on high. 9. Embellish with beaded tassels.
