    Steps:

    1. Download and print the pattern in (figure A) (size is appropriate for a votive candle; for a larger candle, enlarge if desired) or create your own pattern. Lay the pattern on top of a copper sheet and tape down.

    2. Trace over all lines (even dotted ones can be traced as solid lines) (figure B). Use a heavy hand to create the pattern in the copper.

    3. Cut out the pattern along all outside edges and cut slits where solid lines show on the original pattern (figure C).

    4. Stamp Tri-Curl stamp on the longest edge of the copper (the part that will stand up as the back). Also stamp this design on the side extensions of the copper that will fold up later to create sides (figure D).

    5. With orange stick or stylus, trace over all lines (figure E). Once again, use a heavy hand to get a nice impression of your pattern.

    6. Wipe off any traces of ink left form stamping the designs.

    7. Fold all dotted lines and crease well with bone folder (figure F). All rough edges will fold inward. Little tabs will tuck under long folded sides (figure G_).

    8. Secure the back two tabs to the back of the longest side with double-stick tape (figure H).

    9. Stamp Star Bright onto a small piece of copper (figure I). Cut out and trace all design lines with orange stick.

    10. Hold with tweezers and hold burning light under the star to burnish and give and interesting color (figure J). Wipe off any black soot.

    11. Apply a small piece of the foam double-stick tape and apply star to the back wall of the votive holder (figure K).

    12. Place candle in holder and inside your copper piece.
