Steps:

1. Lay both pieces of white cardstock on a couple sheets of overlapping scrap paper. Then holding the mustard ink pad flat, rub it over the cardstock (figure A). This will give you the look of wood grain.

2. Score the smaller piece of cardstock every two inches and accordion fold to create the easel (figure B).

3. Using the three clear envelopes and a 6" x 5-1/4" piece of red cardstock, and one by one tear off the self adhesive strip on the back of the envelopes. Place them on top of the cardstock, folding each one over the top of the cardstock in a staggered position (figure C). Fold the piece of coal cardstock in half and glue the envelope layer to the card with the paste glue (figure D).

4. To create the cover: You'll need to adjust the size of the Rustic Roses wood frame die cut. Cut the top of the frame off by cutting the corners diagonally at each corner, on the top of the frame. Adjust the size of the frame, keeping in mind that you'll be gluing the roses tag to the back of it, so make sure the opening of the frame is the correct size (figure E). Glue the top part of the frame back on, cutting off any excess.

5. Glue a small piece of vellum to the backside of the frame, and then glue the roses tag behind that.

6. Rubber stamp the saying "photographs" on the piece of vellum with the galaxy black Brilliance pigment ink (figure F). Glue that whole layer to the cover.

7. To decorate the cover: Tear the bottom portion of the cover off (figure G) and sponge with chocolate ink. Also sponge chocolate ink onto the die cut hearts and tags. Glue the strip of barn red cardstock to the bottom (figure H). Glue the hearts to the cover, as well as a threaded button.

8. Glue the cover onto the base card with paste glue. Take the two red tags and place the heart brads in the hole. Fold the tags in half and glue onto the cover, so they act like hinges (figure I).

9. Glue the easel inside the card at the bottom so that the album/card will stand on its own (figure J).

10. Fill the clear envelopes with your favorite photos (figure K). The album has the unique feature of resting on a table as you flip through the photographs.

Tip: Use this same technique of layering clear envelopes on scrapbook pages and inside a regular card.
