Judy Martindale of Los Angeles, Calif., is a self-taught woodworker who makes rocking reindeer (figure B). Martindale uses jig and scroll saws to make these fabulous pieces.
Alice Rippey of Northridge, Calif., shares a candy house made from foam core and assorted holiday candies (figure C). Rippey makes trees by gluing green jellybeans onto an upside-down sugar ice cream cone, then embellishes with glittery "snow," which comes packaged as such in craft and hobby stores, as well as holiday decor aisles at departement and home improvement stores.
Terry Godley brought in a reindeer to share with host Carol Duvall and the studio audience. Godley uses palm tree fiber to craft these unusual holiday decorative pieces (figure D).
Audience member Beverly Schmuckle presents Carol with a "Carol Angel" that's made from recyclables and decorated with crafty items (figure E).
