    Project designed by Maggie Weldon

    Materials:

Caron Natura Wintuk, Art. 1977 ( 3 * oz. skein); yarns containing Solutia Acrilan or Bounce-Back fibers
1 skein #901 Off White (see Note, below).
Crochet hook, size I, or size required to crochet to gauge
    Purchased ribbon roses
    White craft glue
Bar of soap or small bag filled with favorite potpourri

Size: About 5" long; size is adjustable

    Gauge: 4 sc = 1"

Notes: One skein yarn will make several soap or sachet covers. Size is adjustable by working more or fewer chs on starting ch and by working more or fewer rows.

    Ch 18.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across-17 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3 through 20: Repeat Row 2. At end of last row, fasten off.
Finishing: Sew Row 20 to starting ch edge to form a tube. Working on wrong side of tube, weave a length of yarn through one open side; draw snugly to gather and close end. Turn tube. Working in the same manner, weave a 10" length of yarn through remaining open side. Insert soap or potpourri. Draw closed; tie ends in bow and tuck bow to inside. With white glue, glue ribbon roses to center top.
