    episode CDS-164
    advertisement

Carol critiques some of the craft books that her crew keeps on the set for research purposes. Here's what her library holds:

The Encyclopedia of...Techniques series from Running Press is actually a collection of titles from various authors. Topics include paper craft and origami, quilting, calligraphy, watercolors and more. Look for this series in your local bookstore, or contact the publisher for a listing of titles currently in print.

Carol also exhibited one of her favorites, The American Quilt: A History of Cloth and Comfort 1750-1950 by Roderick Kiracofe and Mary Elizabeth Johnson (ISBN #0517575353). Inquire at your local bookseller for this historical reference, or contact the publisher for availability.

For children's projects, Carol often uses Designing for Children: Art of Graphic Design in Children's Books, Posters, Magazines, Etc. by Steve Heller (ISBN #0823013049), which is available in bookstores.

Because Carol has a passion for paper, she keeps Decorating With Paper: Creative Looks With Wallpapers, Art Prints, Gift Wrap, and More by Donna Lang and Lucretia Robertson (ISBN #0517577534) on her bookshelf. Although the book is not officially out of print, the publisher (Watson-Guptill, see above) lists it as "out of stock indefinitely." You may be able to locate a copy in libraries or through retailers of hard-to-find and used books.
