Cathy Arnold gives the Carol Duvall Show cameras a tour of her amazingly organized scrapbook room. We follow her around her space as she gives helpful tips on how to achieve a space that works for even the most unorganized scrapbooker. One thing all scrapbookers have in common is the impossible task of staying organized. Arnold shares her fail-proof tips: 1. You must be able to see all your tools and embellishments. Arnold uses bulletin boards, large magnetic hooks and magazine folders as ways of keeping her stuff organized yet accessible. She uses clear or acrylic containers to house her supplies so they can be seen at all times. In the event that they cannot be seen, everything is labeled clearly and accurately. This also makes you aware of your inventory (no running out of adhesive, etc.). 2. The workspace must be comfortable, meaning the proper work surface at the proper height to create your work, easy access to the most commonly used tools, a good chair, good lighting. Ample storage space/adjustable shelving are also crucial elements to achieving a comfortable workspace. 3. She also believes in organizing supplies by seasons or events (i.e. all Christmas supplies should be organized together). 4. Another problem for scrapbookers is how to stay organized when you're on the go to cropping parties, etc. Arnold shares her version a of a scrapbook briefcase. With these helpful tips, Arnold guarantees you'll be a better scrapper and able to truly enjoy the limited time you have for you favorite hobby.
