    Oriental stamped purse

    Materials:

    Rainbow Classic felt
    - bright red
    - yellow
    - black
    11-inch metallic gold fringe
    11-inch red tassel fringe
    30-inch gold metallic piping
    eight-inch Greek key ribbon
    20- inch black braid trim
    12 mirrored tiles or large rhinestones
    fabric glue
    large scallop scissors
    pinking sheers
    black acrylic paint
    metal copper foil tape
    oriental character stamp
    foam roller
    two, 12-inch pieces of bamboo rod
    needle
    black thread

    Steps:

    1. Cut two black felt trapazoids (7-1/2 inches at the top and 11 inches at the bottom) with scalloped scissors (figure A).

    2. Cut a five-inch diameter yellow felt circle and a six-inch diameter red felt circle with pinking sheers.

    3. Stamp the yellow circle with black paint (figure B).

    4. Stack the yellow circle on top of the red circle and sew them onto the black trapezoid.

    5. Sew decorative trim around the circles on the front of the bag (figure C ). Attach fringe to the bottom edge of the purse (figure D).

    6. Cut four, five-inch strips of black trim and sew them on top of each panel to make loops.

    7. Glue mirrored tiles around the center medallion on the front of the bag.

    8. Tape the ends of bamboo rods with copper foil (figure E) and place them through the loops on the bag to hold it closed.

    9. Stitch the bag together with decorative seams.

    Leaf purse

    Materials:

    Rainbow Classic felt
    - green
    - chartreuse
    - hunter green
    green pom pom trim
    ribbon in three shades of green
    scissors
    needle
    black thread
    stones
    tassels

    Steps:

    1. Cut two pieces of green felt using a leaf-shaped pattern (figure F).

    2. Fold one point of the leaf down to create a straight edge along that side ( figure G).

    3. With lighter green felt, cut smaller leaves and fringe them with scissors.

    4. Attach the small green leaves onto the front of the large leaf, slightly overlapping (figure H).

    5. Sew pom pom trim around the edge of the purse's flap (figure I). Add stones and tassels to embellish the purse.

    6. Braid three shades of green ribbon and attach the braid to the purse for a handle.
