    Shrink plastic piece

    Materials:

    shrink plastic
    Adirondack embossing powders
      - bottle
      - eggplant
      - butterscotch
      - clear
      - gold
    embossing ink
    quarter moon stencil
    1/8-inch hole punch
    three head pins
    beads
    sun charm
    jump rings
    wire cutter
    needle nose pliers
    pen
    scissors
    heat tool

    Steps:

    1. Trace a quarter moon on shrink plastic using a stencil (figure A).

    2. Cut the moon out with scissors and punch three holes on the bottom to hang beads.

    3. Shrink the moon with a heat tool and let it cool (figure B).

    4. Cover the shrunken moon with embossing ink.

    5. Randomly sprinkle bottle, eggplant and butterscotch embossing powders onto the moon (figure C).

    6. Heat the powders until they are melted.

    7. While the powders are still hot, cover them with clear powder and heat again. Sprinkle bits of gold powder over all.

    8. Place beads onto head pins to create three hanging pieces (figure D). Hang them from the holes on the bottom of the moon. Set aside.

    Assembly

    Materials:

    Ultimate Bond super sticky tape
    1/8-inch super sticky trim tape
    Amy's Magic Gold Leaf
    Teenie Weenie Beadies
    24 inches of link chain
    1/16- inch hole punch
    ruler
    pen
    scissors
    paint pan pallet - optional
    soft cloth
    clear glaze

    Steps:

    1. Cut a 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" strip of sticky tape and pull off the top paper.

    2. Press gold leafing all over the sticky tape and rub it with a soft cloth (figure E).

    3. Peel the paper backing off of the other side of the sticky tape.

    4. Place glass beads in a paint pan pallet or other shallow pan.

    6. Position the shrink plastic piece with hanging beads so the beads hang down from front of the bag. Press firmly on the tape (figure F).

    7. Randomly press bits of gold leaf crumbs onto the sticky tape.

    8. Sprinkle different colors of beads all over the rest of bag (figure G). Press the beads firmly to adhere.

    9. Spray a bag with a couple of coats of clear glaze. Let dry for 24 hours.

    10. Place a strip of 1/8-inch sticky tape across top and bottom of bag. Fold over to create a "hem."

    11. Place 1-3/4-inch strips of 1/8-inch sticky tape on the inside of bag front. Peel off the paper and press the front of bag to the back.

    12. Fold down top of the bag. Punch a 1/16-inch hole on the left side of the bag. Attach a sun charm with a jump ring.

    13. With a 1/16-inch circle punch, punch holes below the flap on the sides of bag. Attach jump rings through the holes and add a chain.
