Project designed by Jane Beard. Materials: 8-1/2" x 11" card stock stamp pads brush markers hobby knife ruler pencil double-sided tape or glue stick sticky notes stamp positioning tool - optional rubber stamps - coffee pot - M-888 - cup - E-889 - spoon - C-890 - Perk Up! - D-891 - Googie background - F-892 Steps: 1. Cut a piece of card stock lengthwise into two 4-1/4" x 11" pieces. For the outer part of the card, score and fold one piece in half so that the front of the card is 4-1/4" x 5 1/2". For the inside of the card, score and fold the other piece in half and trim 3/4-inch from the top end and two inches from the bottom end. 2. Ink the coffee pot stamp but do not ink the lid of the pot (figure A). Stamp the inside of the card with the coffee pot stamp so that the feet of the pot are just above the fold line. 3. Stamp the cup and spoon stamps in the lower portion of the card. Cover the coffee pot, cup and spoon images with sticky note masks and stamp the Googie background over the lower half of the card (figure B). 4. Color in the rest of the card as desired (figure C). Cut a slot 1/8-inch thick just above the top of the coffee pot, and just as wide as the top edge of the coffee pot. 5. Draw a light guide line 3/4 inch up from the center fold of the outside of the card (figure D). Stamp the coffee pot stamp so that the feet are just above the guide line. Mask the coffee pot image and stamp the Googie background stamp on the lower part of the card. Color in the coffee pot. Trim away the upper edge of the card between the body of the coffee pot and the lid. 6. Turn the card over and rotate it so that the end just stamped is on the underside of the card stock and facing toward you. Draw a guide line four inches up from the fold line. Place a sticky note mask below the line and stamp the lid of the coffee pot so that it prints just above the guide line (figure E). Color in the lid. Stamp the words "perk up" just below the lid (figure F). 7. Draw a guideline 2-1/4 inches above the fold line. Cut across the guideline, trimming around the lid and the words. 8. Draw another guide line 3/4 inch below the fold line. Place the inside of the card so the center fold of the inside piece lines up with this guide line. Glue the two layers of the card together below the line. 9. Trim the inside lower edge to match the cut edge of the outside front of the card. Slide the lid/word tab up through the slot (figure G).
