    Materials:

Delta Shimmering Fabric Color fabric paint
    Delta color resist
Rubber Stampede leaf foam stamp (figure A)
light- or medium-weight, light colored muslin fabric
    makeup sponges
    nail brush
    iron

    Steps:

    1. Cut the foam stamp to create the size pattern desired for the design on the fabric (figure B).

    2. Using a makeup sponge, apply an even coat of resist to the stamp. Press the stamp onto the fabric. Continue stamping the fabric in a random pattern, applying more resist to the stamp before each press. Let dry.

    3. Thinning the paint slightly with water, paint one color onto the fabric in spots (figure C). Add another color in other spots of the fabric until it is completely covered with paint (figure D). Let dry.

    4. Using resist, stamp another layer of leaves on top of the paint (figure E). Let dry.

    5. Paint a darker color of paint onto the fabric in spots. Let dry and heat set the color with an iron.

    6. To get the resist out of the fabric, hand wash the fabric with hot water and let dry. Use a nail brush to scrape away excess resist.
