tulle Steps: 1. Place the rubber stamp face up and lay the velvet right side down over the stamp. Put fusible webbing on the wrong side of the fabric and place a layer of protective paper on top of the webbing (figure A). Using the cotton setting of the iron, press the area of the iron without steam holes onto the protective paper for 10 to 20 seconds to emboss the image of the leaf onto the velvet (figure B). 2. Emboss about 25 leaves onto each color of velvet (figure C). The webbing will permanently bond to the velvet, making it more stable and also keeping the velvet from fraying. 3. Cut out all leaves, leaving a small edge of the unembossed velvet as the border for each leaf. 4. Lay the leaves on a flat surface to determine a pattern. 5. Using an ironing board on a protected work surface, turn each leaf upside down , making sure that the pattern is as desired (figure D). 6. Lay tulle over the design and then lay the protective paper over the tulle. 7. Iron over each leaf, securing it permanently to the tulle (figure E). Iron small areas at a time, as once they have bonded to the tulle, the process is permanent.
